About Mosaic in Hillsborough

Phosphate is an essential component of all living things and is used in a variety of consumer products including crop nutrients, which play a vital role in helping meet the needs of a growing world. In Florida, 90 percent of the phosphate mined becomes fertilizer. That’s why there’s such an overwhelming need to continue phosphate mining – and why Mosaic’s phosphate business is so important to our future. Mosaic operates one active manufacturing facility in Hillsborough County, as well as an ammonia terminal and a shipping and storage facility which can be located on our global presence map. Hillsborough County also is home to Mosaic’s Florida phosphate business as well as the corporate headquarters for our North America Business.
